Eight Installed To Ministry Of Acolyte

Eight Seminarians from Saint Vincent Seminary were installed to the Ministry of Acolyte on November 5 by Most Rev. William J. Waltersheid of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. They are from Covington, Kentucky; Harrisburg; Paterson, New Jersey; Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and Saint Vincent Archabbey. DIOCESE OF COVINGTON

Eric L. Andriot of Florence, Kentucky, is the son of the late Phil and Mary Andriot.
He is a 1992 graduate of Covington Catholic High School, Park Hills, and attended Thomas More College, Crestview Hills, Kentucky, where he studied business administration, from 2000 to 2003. He has an associate of applied science degree from Northern Kentucky University.

DIOCESE OF HARRISBURG

Donald H. Bender, Jr., of Lancaster, is the son of Donald H. Bender, Sr., and Theresa Bender of Ephrata. He is a 1989 graduate of Ephrata Senior High School and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

Ryan Michael Fischer is the son of Michael and Margaret Fischer of Lancaster. He graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 2003. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, in 2009.

DIOCESE OF PATERSON

Damian P. Zablocki of Newark is the son of Brenda G. Edwards of Holland, Ohio, and the late Bronislaw W. Zablocki. He is a 1996 graduate of Maumee High School, Maumee, Ohio. He also studied philosophy at Catholic University of America from 2006-2007.

SAINT VINCENT ARCHABBEY

Brother Pio (Peter Paul) Adamonis, III, O.S.B., is the son of Peter P. and Catherine Adamonis of Upland. He is a 1986 graduate of Saint James High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Penn State University in 1990.
He entered the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2008, made simple profession of vows on July 10, 2009 and began studies at Saint Vincent Seminary in the fall of 2009. He made solemn profession of monastic vows on July 11, 2012.

Brother Isaac (Paul) Haywiser, O.S.B., is the son of Mark and Ellen Haywiser of Bethel Park, PA. He is a 2005 graduate of Bethel Park High School, Bethel Park. He earned a bachelor of science degree in 2009 in management from Saint Vincent College. He enter the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2009 and made simple professon of monastic vows on July 9, 2010.

Brother Matthew Nguyen, O.S.B., is the son of Thuc Van and Nam Be Thi Vo Nguyen of Vinh Long, Vietnam. He attended Hieu Phung High School, Vinh Long, graduating in 1999. He was a member of Saint Joseph Monastery, Lucerne Valley, California, before transferring to Saint Vincent Archabbey. He began studies at Saint Vincent Seminary in 2009.

SUBIACO ABBEY

Brother Patrick Boland, O.S.B., is from Subiaco Abbey, Arkansas. His parents are James M. and Catherine M. Boland of North East, Pennsylvania. He is a 1980 graduate of North East High School. He earned an associate degree in science from Pennsylvania State University, New Kenginston, in 1984 and is a board certified medical laboratory technician in the state of Pennsylvania. He has an associate degree in applied science, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration from Arkansas Techn University (2009), a bachelor of professional studies degree in public relations from Arkansas Tech University (2010), and also studied in the graduate program at Arkansas Tech. He earned a bachelor of theology degree from the Theology Institute of the Diocese of Arkansas Saint Gregory’s University, Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2011.
