Most Rev. Lawrence T. Persico, Bishop of the Diocese of Erie and a Seminary alumnus, will institute Saint Vincent seminarians into the Ministry of Reader at Mass and Vespers at 5 p.m. at the Archabbey Basilica.As these seminarians progress in their formation for the priesthood, Ministry of Reader, or Lector as it has also been known, is one of the most visible roles of service in the Liturgy. It is through the Lector that the Word of God is proclaimed to the people.
