Seminary Receives $100,000 from First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association

LATROBE, PENNSYLVANIA — The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, the largest Slovak fraternal benefit society offering life insurance and annuities, recently allotted $1.5 million in donations to charitable organizations.

 

This is in keeping with the Association’s longtime goals of supporting various ethnic, community, cultural, educational, humanitarian and religious projects. In addition, the Association will offer more than $160,000 in scholarship awards for the 2004-2005 academic year.

Delegates at the Association’s recent convention earmarked a donation of $100,000 to Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe toward the renovation of seminary housing.
