LATROBE, PENNSYLVANIA — Saint Vincent Seminary welcomed 22 new students for the 2001-2002 school year. The new students are from seven archdioceses and dioceses and seven monasteries of three religious orders. The student enrollment at the Seminary is 99, including 84 men in the ordination program, and thirteen lay and religious men and women in graduate studies.New students, depending on their previous fields of study, will take up to two years of pre-theology coursework, or enter into the four-year theology program. Saint Vincent Seminary offers the master of divinity, master of arts and bachelor in sacred theology degrees.
The new students are from the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Georgia; and the Dioceses of Erie, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania; Savannah, Georgia; Steubenville, Ohio and Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia, as well as from Asirvanam Monastery in India; Mary Mother of the Church Abbey in Richmond, Virginia; Phuoc Son Abbey in Vietnam; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Monastery in Waterford, Ohio; Saint Andrew Abbey in Cleveland, Ohio; Waegwan Abbey in South Korea and Saint Vincent Archabbey.

He is a 1990 graduate of G. H. Marayoor high School in India. He earned a P.D.C. degree from St. Thomas College, Kumily, India. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Mysore University in 2000.Br. He is a 1979 graduate of Midlothian High School in Richmond. He earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering in 1984 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. He studied systematic theology at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary from 1995 to 1999.Br. Gregory A. Gresko, O.S.B., is the son of Joseph A. and Wanda L. Gresko of Montpelier, Virginia. He is a 1988 graduate of The Collegiate Schools, Richmond, Virginia. He earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology and English in 1992 and a master of arts in education in secondary English education from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.
SAINT ANDREW ABBEY, CLEVELAND, OHIOBr. Mario Andrew Parisi, O.S.B., is the son of Charles Parisi of Brandon, Florida and Rose Marie Parisi of Akron, Ohio. He is a 1989 graduate of Lake High School in Uniontown, Ohio. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy, cum laude, from John Carroll University in 1993. He studied theology at Saint Mary Seminary from 1993 to 1998.

DIOCESE OF WHEELING-CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIAArthur Bufogle, Jr. attended St. Mary’s International School in Tokyo, Japan, graduating in 1972. He studied biology at St. Bonaventure University, New York, from 1972 to 1974. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Walsh College, North Canton, Ohio in 1976. He received a master of arts degree in theology in 1985 from St. Michael’s College, Winooskie, Vermont; a master of science degree in soil science in 1988 from the University of Vermont, Burlington, and a doctorate in agronomy in 1996 from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
MASTER OF DIVINITY PROGRAMDr. William J. Hisker of Greensburg has entered the Master of Divinity program at Saint Vincent Seminary. He is a professor of business education at Saint Vincent College. He is a 1965 graduate of Saint Vincent Preparatory School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Saint Vincent College in 1969 and a MRCPL (professional masters degree) from the University of Oklahoma in regional and city planning in 1973. He earned a doctorate in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981.
