Three Ordained To Diaconate April 25

Three monks were ordained to the diaconate on Saturday, April 25 by Most Rev. Lawrence E. Brandt, J.C.D., Ph.D., Bishop of Greensburg, two from Saint Vincent Archabbey and one from Saint Andrew Abbey, Cleveland.
BROTHER PIO ADAMONIS, O.S.B.
Brother Pio is the son of Peter P. and Catherine Adamonis of Upland. He has two sisters, Debbie of Boothwyn and Lisa Kei of San Diego, and one brother, Michael of Upland.
He is a 1986 graduate of Saint James High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Penn State University in 1990.
He entered the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2008, made simple profession of vows on July 10, 2009 and began studies at Saint Vincent Seminary in the fall of 2009. He made solemn profession of monastic vows on July 11, 2012.
He served as assistant in the infirmary chapel (2008-2009), assistant archivist (2009-2010), and an assistant in audio and video production for the Fred Rogers Center (2009-2010). He is as an assistant for audio and video production in the Archabbey Public Relations Office (2009-present). In 2010 he was named assistant golf coach for Saint Vincent College and sacristan and assistant master of ceremonies for the Archabbey.
BROTHER MATTHEW LAMBERT, O.S.B.
Brother Matthew is the son of Walter Clair Lambert of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Nancy Roth of Kimberly, Idaho. His brother is Danny Lambert, Denver, Colorado.
He is a 2004 graduate of Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami, Forida. He earned a bachelor of science degree in English literature in 2008 from Florida State University.
He entered the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2009 and made simple professon of monastic vows on July 9, 2010.
While at Saint Vincent, he was named assistant building manager of the monastery (2010-present) and counselor in the Academic Affairs Office, Saint Vincent College (2010-2011). He was appointed socius of novices in 2011.
BROTHER THOMAS SANDERS, O.S.B.
Brother Thomas, of Cleveland, Ohio, is the son of Gary L. and Joanne E. Sanders of Sheffield Lake, Ohio. Born in Amherst, Brother Thomas graduated from Otterbein College in Columbus in 2003 with a Bachelor of Life Science degree in biology and chemistry. He professed first vows as a monk of Saint Andrew Abbey in Cleveland in 2010 and his solemn vows in 2013. He is a 1997 graduate of Brookside High School, Sheffield, Ohio. He earned an associate of science degree from Lorain County Community College, Elyria, Ohio, in 1999. He entered Saint Vincent Seminary in 2012. He will complete his fourth year of theological studies next year at Saint Vincent Seminary and will be ordained to the priesthood in Cleveland next May.
