Rev. Mr. Benton M. Clift of Melbourne, Kentucky, will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 19 by Most Rev. Rogers Foys, Bishop of the Diocese of Covington, at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Saint Mary’s Cathedral of the Assumption in Covington.

Deacon Clift received the Omer U. Kline, O.S.B., Excellence in Preaching Award at the Seminary’s recent graduation. He will complete his seminary studies in the fall of 2018. He is the son of the late Benton E. Clift and Audrey E. Clift. He is a 1977 graduate of Silver Grove High School, Silver Grove Kentucky, and studied electro-mechanical technology and environmental engineering technology at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, from which he holds an associates in applied sciences degree. He was ordained a deacon on April 13, 2013 for the Diocese of Covington by Most Rev. Roger J. Foys.
