LATROBE, PENNSYLVANIA – Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., has announced the appointment of William P. Malloy as Director of Archabbey and Seminary Development. Mr. Malloy, of Sarver, comes to Saint Vincent after serving three years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the First Bank of Leechburg.
“Mr. Malloy brings to us a multitude of talents,” said Archabbot Douglas. “And, as a graduate of Saint Vincent College, he brings an understanding of the Benedictine ethos.”
“He has a tremendous amount of experience, and will be a great asset to Saint Vincent,” said Mr. John Marous, Chairman of the Saint Vincent Seminary Board of Regents.
Mr. Malloy previously served as Director of Loan Review and Special Assets for First Commonwealth Financial Corp., Indiana, Pennsylvania (1994 to 1996); as Associate National Bank Examiner for The Comptroller of the Currency, Administrator for National Bank, Monroeville (1991 to 1994); and as a group home supervisor for Adelphoi Village, Inc. (1987 to 1991).
A 1987 graduate of Saint Vincent College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Mr. Malloy majored in the liberal arts, with minors in economics, mathematics and biology. He was named to ” Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.”
“I am eager to return to Saint Vincent, and I consider myself very fortunate to get to work day in, day out with Archabbot Douglas, Mr. Marous and the rest of the Saint Vincent Archabbey and Seminary staff,” Mr. Malloy said.
His community activities include serving as President of Kiski Valley Enterprises; a member of Leechburg Rotary and Adelphoi Village, and as a YMCA Fitness Instructor. He is a member of St. Joseph Parish, Cabot.
