Saint Vincent Seminary welcomed a number of new seminarians for the 2025-2026 school year. They include men studying for the priesthood from the Diocese of Erie, the Diocese of Pittsburgh, the Diocese of Scranton and Saint Vincent Archabbey.
DIOCESE OF ERIE
Joseph J. Preston of the Diocese of Erie is from McKean. He is a 2021 graduate of General McLane High School, Edinboro. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Gannon University, Erie in 2025. His parents are Ronald J. and Antoinette R. Preston of McKean.
DIOCESE OF PITTSBURGH
Christoph J. Bernas of the Diocese of Pittsburgh is from Carnegie. He is a 2020 graduate of Bishop Canevin High School, Pittsburgh, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2025. He has also studied at Pennsylvania State University. His parents are Bradley and Julia Bernas of Carnegie.
Van Dung Nguyen of the Diocese of Pittsburgh is a 2006 graduate of Truong To High School in Vinh, Vietnam. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Our Lady of La Salett College Seminary in Tagatay, Cavite, the Philippines and has also studied philosophy at The Franciscan University of Steubenville. His parents are Quang and Kien Nguyen of Vinh, Nghe An, Vietnam.
DIOCESE OF SCRANTON
Esteban Marengo of the Diocese of Scranton is a 2020 graduate of Scranton High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Catholic theology from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey in 2025. His parents are Luis Marengo of Moosic and Maribel Marquez of Scranton.
SAINT VINCENT ARCHABBEY
Brother Kolbe Seibert, O.S.B., of Saint Vincent Archabbey is a 2013 graduate of Towanda Junior/Senior High School in Towanda. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 and a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering in 2019, both from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre. His parents are Lane D. and Marie D. Seibert of Towanda.
