LATROBE, PENNSYLVANIA – Saint Vincent Seminary has announced the establishment of the Rev. Adrian C. H. Pleus Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship will assist with the cost of education at Saint Vincent Seminary for students with need who demonstrate strong leadership qualities.

The $250,000 endowment is named for Father Pleus, a 1998 Seminary graduate now serving at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Kennesaw, Georgia, in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Father Adrian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Werner Pleus of Plandome, New York. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in history at the University of the South in 1990, a master of education degree at the University of Georgia in 1994, and a master of divinity degree from Saint Vincent Seminary in 1998, cumma sum laude. His home parish is St. Mary’s in Manhasset, New York.

“Father Adrian has already had a deep impact on the lives of the many friends he has made over the years,” said Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki of Saint Vincent, Seminary chancellor. “This scholarship will serve as a tribute to his many talents and as stimulus to encourage other young men to leadership in the priesthood.”
